The resonance of home is a place that is of sweet relief where we can cocoon under the blankets finding respite from a hectic week. It is the warm feeling of love, security, and the joyful pleasure of being surrounded by the ones we love. However, is not a destination nor is it a place – it is the creation of the beingness in your heart.
Home is something more than feeling the nurturing of your mothers warmth it is the intrinsic worthiness and value of just being true to you. It is capturing what seems an inaccessible stillness where you do not feel anxious, depressed, or the nagging pricks welted anger.
It is a courageous place that holds no judgement and its door are forever open to you. We can walk in solitude or amongst family and friends. But forever we will always have that home that offers a truth that enables you to let down your mask and be free to be cherished in the light of bliss.
This intrinsic feeling cannot be described with just words but must be felt as we feel when we arrive for a visit on our mothers doorstep. It is that childlike feeling of love, value, and worth. You are cherished for your divine being and pure reflection in that is the beautiful innocence of truth that you are always worthy of your mothers love just as Gods light.
As Dr. Maya Angelou eloquently writes:
I am convinced that most people do not grow up. We find parking spaces and honor our credit cards. We marry and dare to have children and call that growing up. I think what we do is mostly grow old. We carry accumulation of years in our bodies and on our faces, but generally our real selves, the children inside, are still innocent and shy as magnolias.
We may act sophisticated and worldly but I believe we feel safest when we go inside ourselves and find home, a place where we belong and maybe the only place we really do.
In your meditation practice you can find that home by shutting out the outside world in a quiet place that allows for you to find that stillness of brevity that syncs your breath to a space that is silent in the mind. The silence allows for you to bask in the purity of your existence forever finding a balance in the presence of your being and your spirit.
When you arrive home there is always the warmth of unconditional love waiting for you. Forever to be cherished and honored in the presence of peace and kindness.
